Cross Walk - Carbondale, IL

Had a very encouraging walk tonight! The weather was great and the encounters with people on the street were great!

I met a young man named “Sipos” for the first time tonight. He flagged me down to comment on the cross and then we had a good conversation! He was down on his luck and was living on the streets. Every other word he spoke was something vulgar but he was excited about the Cross and allowed me to pray with him. He asked if we could get down on our knees to pray, so we did.

The saying holds true, you can’t judge a book by its cover. Sipos was super rough around the edges but he made sure to show respect and honor towards Jesus as we prayed.

It’s a privilege to walk the Cross and have these different encounters. I’m always amazed at how God can reach down and show his love!
