Sharing the Cross - Marion, IL

What a perfect afternoon to Share the Cross! It was the weekend before Thanksgiving and there were lots of people out and about. We had many show us support by honking there horns and waving or just yelling “God bless you” as they drove by.

We also had the opportunity to share Jesus with a young man that was living in a tent behind Sam’s Club. You could tell he had been on the streets for awhile but said the only thing he needed was something to eat. So he got a McDonald’s gift card, some cash and a QR Code Card pointing to the Testimonies Website. He held the packet in his hands and looked at it with wide eyes saying, “are you sure?” like it was a huge gift.

These gift-packets are made possible by our generous donors. If you want to give to this cause you can do so here:

Its amazing how a small gift can perform such a big work. I’ve found that people are a lot more open and receptive to what you have to say when you help meet a need in their life. Just by stopping and checking on someone to see if their Ok can show them that they matter and have worth.

My friends Darren and Gus setup a huge Cross of their own across the intersection from me and together we had a great day encouraging our community.
