Cross Walk - Carbondale, IL

I had the privilege of walking The Cross with my buddy Chance tonight. We didn’t really encounter anyone out on the streets tonight but we did get a lot of honks from vehicles passing by. The thing that encouraged me the most was Chance’s willingness to walk 3+ miles with me despite the aches and pains he was experiencing in his body. To see someone step out and make an effort to serve/encourage someone else even when you could use it yourself is a beautiful thing!

I’m proud to call you a friend and a brother, Chance. I believe that God honors any and all sacrifices that we make for His name sake…
